It's to make things that are not already Bluetooth devices transmit or
receive as though they were. The Bluetooth Transmitter you have for the
Sansa makes it transmit to Bluetooth devices like Bluetooth Speakers and
Bluetooth Headsets etc... If you also would like to be able to connect to a
stereo system etc...that does not already have Bluetooth capabilities from
either your Sansa (which needs a transmitter because it's not already a
Bluetooth device) or from something else you may have that does already
have the capability of transmitting Bluetooh like a Laptop or Smartphone.
You could also use it to Transmit in the way Laz suggested to Bluetooth
headphones.
Anything already Bluetooth is already a transmitter or receiver and would
not need something like this.
The other receiver device, the Mini-jack RX has shorter range and works
just to receive for devices that don't already have Bluetooth capability.
It's great for a car stereo or a stereo, I think something that would be in
the same room would work better with this. Some non-bluetooth headsets have
a stereo in jack and it could be used with that as well.
But if you already have Bluetooth devices like speakers, headsets
etc...that are already Bluetooth those will work with Sansa Mp3 Player
without any additional devices as long as the Sansa Player has the
transmitter attached.
