Hi All, Happy Summer!!! But September is around the corner. TIPSnets first program for the Fall will be September 8 at our new time 7:30pm local EDT 2330z on our regular outlets. Our first major program will be September 15 -about a news legend Walter Cronkite KB2GSD who recently became a silent key. Most news outlets reported his history in the news industry with CBS but noone mentioned his Ham 'career' which was a passion with him until his later years. We are going to keep you guessing for a bit but we will have the person who gave him his Novice CW exam on TIPS, as a matter of fact he is a friend of TIPS. MOre on that as we get closer... Enough for now. 73 Anne West K1STM TIPSnet Net Manager John West N1IWT TIPSnet Program & Publicity Manager www.tipsnet.org Email: tipsnet@xxxxxxxxxxx Fostering International Friendship Through Amateur Radio © NOTE OUR NEW TIME FOR THE FALL BEGINNING SEPT 8TH -- TIPSnet meets every Tuesday starting September 8th from 7:30pm - 8:30pm local time (EST) / 2330z on several repeaters throughout New England, including our hub the SPARC Repeater System, West haven and Durham, CT.
