Subject: [CT ARES Discussion] Nutmeg Net Resumes

Good morning.

I have received two enthusiastic offers to host the Nutmeg VHF Traffic net. We
will use the Middlesex Amateur Radio Society's 147.09 as primary and the
Bristol Radio Club's 146.685 repeater as secondary. The thought is to use both
repeaters for handling of traffic concurrently when that becomes necessary.
Our STM would like to meet regularly on the alternate frequencyy couple of
times per week to allow for coverage differences and nearby repeater
interference and other "ridge or mountain" problems that occur for all of us at
one time or another.

My usual style is to pause until I have all the details figured out but my time
today is limited and I want NVTN members to enjoy the net as soon as possible.

So we will begin by meeting this week on 147.09 PL 110.9 starting tonight and
announce a regular schedule later this week.

All operators are reminded that you are guests on another club's repeater. It
is not appropriate to tie up a machine for long QSOs outside the net. Thanks.

More to follow.

Many thanks to ICRC for hosting the net for so many years. Thanks to
MARS/CARES and BRC for hosting us now and to all the repeater groups who
continue to host public service nets.

73,
