Gordon,

I don't remember where I read it but long before RoHS, it was found that
polycarbonate - when exposed to water for prolonged periods of time was found
to release a brownish residue which testing revealed to be BPA - no mention of
bromine or chlorine.

My position is really pretty easy to live with. Keep harmful elements out of
the food chain, and by the way, circuit board assemblies and many other useful
and necessary technological innovations are not intended to be ingestible.

Ed

Ed,

I'm with Steve. My reason for posting was to warn. Don't take the claims of
activists at face value. Be suspicious of a hidden agenda, which is
invariably to reduce your freedom, and follow the money.

Gordon
