Two New Thin Client Devices Deliver Corporate Applications at Aggressive
Prices in Server-Centric Architectures, Wireless Networks

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Feb. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- IGEL Technology,
the developer of bespoke thin client software, solutions and services for
centralized server systems, today announced the release of a new series of
Microsoft CE.NET terminal devices for corporate application delivery.
The new IGEL-CE.NET thin client terminals provide immediate .NET end-to-
end connectivity in a robust, aggressively priced package. The
server-centric
nature of .NET provides businesses with proven benefits which are further
enhanced by the use of IGEL-CE.NET thin client terminals.
Steve Earle, President US Operations, IGEL Technology, said, "The new
terminals give our customers the tools they need to embrace all the features
offered by .NET, most notable -- the ability to deliver data center-class
applications across any kind of connection."
"We expect to ship IGEL-CE.NET product in large volumes to our resellers
who are focused primarily on Microsoft delivery solutions. The server
centric
model is very mature and PC desktops all over corporate America will be
phased
out in favor of this advanced technology," said Earle.
Two models are currently available: -- IGEL-216CE, which provides
delivery
of Microsoft-based applications, from the server-farm or via proxy; and
IGEL-
232CE, which further enhances the environment by providing local application
support. This includes terminal emulation for direct access to IBM and UNIX
server environments, as well as Microsoft IE 5.5 browser for direct access
to
local portals including those provided by Citrix NFuse.
Each model has unique connectivity features, but most notable is the
ability to plug a wireless PCMCIA network adaptor directly into the IGEL-
232CE. This makes it easy for organizations to introduce IGEL terminals to
existing wireless environments.
IGEL will be demonstrating the two new terminals at Citrix Solutions
Summit, Orlando, 9-12 February, 2003.
