*Apocalyptic times always seemed to be far, far into the future, long after
we would be dead---something to theorize and speculate about but not to
have to deal with personally. Whoops! It appears that the timing may not
have been what we thought it was. The stupid and unaware folks are being
fished in and will perish earlier on, but there may be enough of them to
drag all of us down unless we are very strongly determined and willing to
prepare and work very hard.*
