*"They" are not letting Biden close to a hot mike. In this shot, his image
walks into the scene to take questions from reporters. He was photographed
against a green screen so that his image could be overlaid on the outdoor
scene. When he is near the reporters, his hands appear to be on the
viewer's side of the microphones, blocking out the view of the
microphones. In CGI work, such foreground objects are supposed to be
locked in so that inserted images will not be superimposed over them.
Also, you can see that his hands are too small in relation to the size of
the microphones. I can't see it in this video, but in others it was
possible to see Biden's hair had a greenish tint because of the reflected
lighting from the green screen. *
