*Electricity rates in Texas have increased drastically. It now costs about
$900 to fully charge a Tesla electric car. I check the average range of a
Type S Tesla and found that currently it costs $3.46 to travel one mile. A
five mile round trip to town and back costs $34.60.*
*And think of this. If the price of electricity has QUADRUPLED, that means
a Tesla driver would pay $9.15 to make that five mile run to town and back
during normal times. My Ford Ranger pickup with a diesel engine can do it
for about a buck and a quarter.*
