MS has an MSI cleanup tool. I'd get that and see if you can figure out
what app may be causing it.
Also may want to D/L the newest windows installer executable and try and
install it on the servers.

The installer also runs for the configuration of HKEY_CURRENT_USER (if
my memory serves me correctly) for first run as well.

Bad office installations can cause office apps to run the installer to
attempt repair. So this may be a symptom. Used to see that all the
time with Office 95/2000/XP - but haven't really seen it on 2003 (but
maybe I'm lucky).

Ok, maybe this is the cause of all my problems BUT the Installer service
is constantly starting and stopping on certain servers. Installer was
sent a start control and then a bit later shuts down. Anyone else think
this is the cause of my problems????????
