Also, this study is based on surveys that were filled out on-line. This
means that it reflects the mix of that particular sample base. I suspect ICA
would figure in a lot higher in a general market survey, particularly if the
size of the organization were taken into account and separated by small
business/Enterprise, and especially, where there was a deliniation of load
balanced versus stand alone servers.

That's how I read it, since they separated the two.

I would have expected something like, 40% use Microsoft Terminal Services
w/Citrix, and 38% use plain Microsoft Terminal Services. It was a bit
unclear.

Not surprising at all considering that anybody using Citrix is using
Terminals Services under it. I would not take the numbers to mean that there
are more people using Vanilla TS than Citrix/TS, though it's possible.

Even so, interesting that the study acknowledged a higher % using vanilla
Microsoft Terminal Services rather than Citrix.

of course it was positive. It was based on a study commissioned by Citrix
and Neoware (next to last paragraph)

this is an old Microsoft trick borrowed from the tobacco industry.
