XenDesktop Enterprise and XenDesktop Platinum both include usage rights for XenApp. So if a customer bought XenDesktop Platinum the customer probably wants all software on the same DVD, including XenApp. Citrix is assuming that most XenDesktop customers will not already own XenApp. That is the primary reason why they split XenDesktop and XenApp into two different products.
