I understand that, but why is it included multiple times in the XD20
distribution?

XenDesktop Enterprise and XenDesktop Platinum both include usage rights for
XenApp. So if a customer bought XenDesktop Platinum the customer probably
wants all software on the same DVD, including XenApp.

Citrix is assuming that most XenDesktop customers will not already own
XenApp. That is the primary reason why they split XenDesktop and XenApp into
two different products.

If you look, XenApp is included in the XenDesktop .iso. Why do I need the
other 4 stand alone .ISOs for XenApp?

Same size since it includes XenApp.

Is it still a 2.5 gig download with redundant installs?

For those of you that downloaded the XenDesktop eval last week, a newer
version of XenDesktop was posted today. It is dated 6/2 while the eval is
dated 5/20. Citrix tech support claims that the 6/2 version is the real
version while the 5/20 version was still beta. I'll have to wait until the
download completes before I can verify that they are different.
