Are you redirecting Application Data or is it roaming with your profiles ?
To avoid the profile growth you could change the folder location where auto
recover files are stored

With regards to the xar files themselves, are you getting Event ID 26s in the
event log ?

Finding that a site using Excel via Citrix, their user's roaming profiles are
getting very large, containing 1.5MB each .XAR files.
.XAR appears to be Excel Auto Recovery files.
Anyone else finding this? How are you dealing with it?
