Does anyone know if this hotfix will be part of Windows 2000 SP 4?

Thanks

I have the hotfix. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to test it.

We have been experiencing this issue for a few weeks. I contacted MS =
today,
who agreed to send dskcache.exe via email. I was also told that they =
are
currently working on a hotfix which would not be imminently available. =
There
was mention of inclusion in SP5, which considering the wait for SP4 is a
long way off. =3D20

During the conversation I did learn that SP4 is likely to be released =
next
week.

This is exactly the behaviour we are experiencing and for which I posted =
a
question on this list a few weeks ago. =3D20

We will see if this helps...

Anyway thanks for your input Frank!

Was this from a ticket you had with MS frank? This looks exactly like =
some
symptoms Brian madden was fighting with 3 or 4 weeks ago. They had MS, =
HP,
ISVs all involved.

The Terminal Server needs to be running at Service Pack 3 prior to
installing the hotfix mentioned in this article.=3D3D20 After you =
install this
Windows 2000 hotfix and restart your computer, you must also turn on the
Power Protected write cache option for each disk that has write caching

To configure the Power Protected write cache option on the selected =
disks,
use the Dskcache.exe tool. Dskcache.exe is available separately. For

New settings:=3D3D20
Write Cache is enabled=3D3D20

Note: The Power Protected write cache option can only be enabled for =
disks
that are currently present. By default, the Power Protected write cache
option is disabled. As a result, this option is disabled for any disks =
that
may be added after you apply this setting. If additional disks are =
added,
enable the Power Protected write cache option for those added disks for =
the
setting to take effect. Finally apply the registry settings under the
"Terminal Server's Registry Settings" section to the Terminal Server. If =
you
are using a file server to share data, roaming profiles or redirected =
