Here is a good example of what Rick was talking about ctusr.bat cusrmgr -u %1 -m \\Your_NT_DCNAME -agg %2 tscmd RIPDC2 %1 TerminalServerProfilePath %3 tscmd RIPDC2 %1 ShadowingSettings 2 tscmd RIPDC2 %1 ModemCallbackSettings 0 tscmd RIPDC2 %1 BrokenTimeoutSettings 1 tscmd RIPDC2 %1 ReconnectSettings 0 ctxusradd.bat REM This batch script shows how to take two parameters from a .txt file REM and have them inputed into a batch script that will loop and update REM the specific groups in which users need to be apart of, along with REM there terminal services specific settings. FOR /F "tokens=1,2,3 delims=," %%I IN (ctxusr1.txt) DO CALL "ctxusr.BAT" %%I %%J %%K ctxusr1.txt user1,Group1,\\Citrix1\profiles\user1 user2,Group1,citrix1\profiles$\user2 user3,group1,\\citrix1\profiles$\user3 user4,group1,\\citrix1\profiles$\user4 I check the terminal server profile path with the following script. IF EXIST N:\Scripts\nelogician.txt Del N:\Scripts\esauser.txt IF NOT EXIST N:\Scripts\nelogican.txt ECHO "ITS GONE!" DATE /T >>nelogican.txt for /F %%I IN (nelog.txt) DO TSPROF /Q /DOMAIN:MYDOMAIN %%I >>nelogican.txt The users I want to check are in nelog.txt in straight format. nelog.txt user1 user2 etc etc 1) Once I check nelogican.txt I can find out which users don't have proper TSE home or TSE profile directories. 2) I load those users in ctusr1.txt with the proper NT group and TSE profile directory and or TSE home directory. 3) I run ctxusradd.bat which calls Ctxusr.bat and replaces %%I %%J %%K with user1,group1,profile path1. If you look in terminal services user manager, you will see all the fields updated. Only think that Cusrmgr.exe doesn't do right is update the RAS dailin permissions, it always bombs out on me. Between cusrmgr, tscmds and "for" you can do almost everything. regards, Rick Ulrich Mack rmack@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:rmack@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Volante Systems 18 Heussler Terrace Milton 4064, Queensland Australia tel +61 7 32467777 -----Original Message----- From: Lee, David (CITY TREASURY) [mailto:David.Lee@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, December 12, 2002 20:26 To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: Terminal services profile path Technet article Q294751 refers to terminal services settings available through GPO, which includes the ability to set TS profile path. However, I've just read the article again and noticed it only applies to Windows XP Pro; maybe the functionality described will be available in .Net server? -----Original Message----- From: Braebaum, Neil [mailto:neil.braebaum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 12 December 2002 09:57 To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: Terminal services profile path > -----Original Message----- > From: Lee, David (CITY TREASURY) [mailto:David.Lee@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] > Sent: 12 December 2002 09:55 > To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' > Subject: [THIN] Re: Terminal services profile path > > The final twist is how to achieve this for groups whose users > have Active Directory accounts?
