Hi Jon,

Just terminal services RDP) or ICA as well?.

Win2k? Hotfixes?

There are a few bugs in win2k that could end up with terminal services
hung.

Can you telnet to post 3389 or (if ICA) 1494 on the server?

What shape is the spooler in. If the event logs did fill up and the
spooler is stalled, try restarting the spooler.

You may have to either reset all the TCP listeners, or reboot the
server.

Regards,

Rick

Rick,

I've emptied the event logs (all 3) and still am suffering from the same
problem. I'm not getting a login screen - it's not accepting a terminal
services connection.

        Hi Jon,

Are the eventlogs set to overwrite as needed?

As an example, when login auditting is enabled, if the security
log is full the system will no longer allow logins. SImilarly with the
print spooler if the system log is full.

        regards,

        Rick

Event Log

        Hi all,

I wonder if anyone has seen and resolved this, or can point me
in the right direction.

We started getting event log messages about a failed drive 0 on
the raid array a couple of days back. As our other terminal server was
failing also, we left this one running. This morning, I got a phone call
to say that the terminal server had stopped working. I checked it out,
and aside from a bucket load of event log messages about the raid array,
I had no messages about Terminal Services.

All hard disks have greater than 10% disk space free and the
service appears to still be working.

        Many thanks,

        Jon Spriggs
