Anyone? Chris -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chris Lynch Sent: Monday, January 27, 2003 3:54 PM To: TheThin. net Subject: [THIN] Terminal Server Profile Path; MAJOR issue. Has anyone seen after cloning a server using Ghost (used the -FDSP and -SZEE switches), users who log into the new server only get a local profile, and not a roaming profile? This is what I have found: I have found this article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;315763 It does pertain to what my problem is, but the resolution is not going to help me as Service Pack 3 has already been installed. I have looked at a value called CentralProfile, and it's located at HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\(SID of the user). For the profiles that load, this value is empty. If I put in the full UNC path to where the profile should be, then I can change the Profile Type from Local to Roaming. But, when I log off, and then back on with that same profile, that value is empty again. I have tried re-installing SP3, with no luck at fixing the problem. The cloned server is Windows 2000 Advanced Server with SP3, and the new service is identical. I have contacted Microsoft and opened a case, but they are puzzled just like me. I will be calling them back tomorrow, as they are going to research the problem further. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks, Chris ************************************************************************ *** This Week's Sponsor: New Wyse(R) Expedian(TM)software maximizes your server capacity--cost-effectively.
