We have several Citrix servers, PS 4.0 running on VM's (ESX 3.0).

We have used it mainly for things like WI, ZDC, etc., but have several running
applications as well. WE are currently getting 50-60 users per Citrix VM.

What we have saved is rack space, ability to get several formerly physical
servers, into a single 2U piece of hardware. We are still testing, but we also
have found a slight savings in heat produced, as well as power used.

I like how quickly I can build out a new VM, based on a template, versus a full
server build. I like the fact that any required reboots are much faster. I
like the fact I can simply P2V from old unsupported hardware, to a VM.

This is not for everyone, not for every situation, but I do plan to continue
moving more physicals to virtuals in the near future.

Just my $.02.

well, we want to gain better performance (as most of partners saiy), not
only for citrix but all of servers (like print servers, db server, notes
server, etc...) in order to reduce a lot of machine into one, two, or three.
and taking advantadge of it, integrate citrix as well.
