The restriction on exporting 128-bit encryption does not apply to taking your machine somewhere, only to selling or transferring products to foreign entities. So long as your guy can connect to the Internet with his PC, he should be good. Our Director of Engineering was able to do this same thing from Italy last summer with no problems (Except finding dial up access in Italy, of course...). -----Original Message----- From: Stratton, Doug MSER:EX [mailto:Doug.M.Stratton@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, July 09, 2002 11:11 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Switzerland to Canadian Citrix XP/1.8 server We have a client who will be going to Switzerland.Wants to take his laptop and connect to our Citrix terminal service. Question, is this going to work? There are always potential problems. We have not done anything from outside North America so I don't know what to expect. I have heard that 128 bit encryption is not allowed? We only allow 128 bit encryption connections to our servers. Any other problems of note would be helpful thanks.
