Good question. Use a proxy server that can string out EXE's, ZIP's, =
etc. I
believe that TrendMicro's Virus Wall can provide this. You could also =

SQUID (free *nix implementation). I'm not sure if that would block any
attempts from running an EXE on a web page. For instance, a user could =

believe that your users could still access this content, just won't be =
able
to issue an HTTP GET command (which is effectively a download).
I know that XP SP2 will have some added features that will prohibit
downloads of content. I don't know if there's going to be any
implementation of GPO's to manage that new functionality.

Could be off topic, but what the heck, you guys will know...
What is the best way to prohibit users from downloading and installing =
=3D
anything from IE. It's fine to have them save images, pdfs, things like =
=3D
that, but we've got to stop their ability to install anything.
Ideas?
