If you haven't done a pilot already I don't recommend jumping in with both feet. Slap MetaFrame on a box and connect with a few sessions to see how much potential proc and RAM each session may use. Put your accounting app to the test to make sure it'll work properly in multiple concurrent sessions. The employees are MS Office 2000 users with a network accounting app (Timberline). About 1/4 of the users are coming across the Internet with a DSL or Cable modem connection. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Justin Martin Sent: Friday, November 21, 2003 1:25 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Sizing for server Will a single dual Xeon 2.4 with 2 GB of ram be enough power to have 20 concurrent users running Windows 2003 with Citrix MF XPs. The users will all be running Office 2000 applications and a network accounting application. Printing will be a a minimum and both the remote office and the head office will have a full T1 for internet access. What are some suggestions on amount of ram and processors per 10 users?
