I don't know if Screwdrivers has this but Provision networks Print-It does. It has intelligent font embedding... (ie only fonts that don't already exist on the client are embedded in the print job) This keeps the print job size a lot smaller. http://www.provisionnetworks.com/solutions/print-it/print-it.aspx JK Chris Grecsek <cgrecsek@> wrote: v\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} o\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} w\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} .shape {behavior:url(#default#VML);} st1\:*{behavior:url(#default#ieooui) } While discussing printing?what are folks doing about fonts? Do any of the third party printing products solve the ?font? problem? Where if you don?t have the fonts installed on the local client the document fails to print? I know Thinprint has some solutions that will do the trick but there are trade offs...does Screwdrivers eliminate font problems? --------------------------------- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Evan Mann Sent: Monday, August 28, 2006 8:07 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] ScrewDrivers v4 I am planning to trial ScrewDrivers v4. I looked at in earlier in the year but decided to hold off. The recent brash of printing related problems I've been having, and long going ones with random printers not being mapped is pushing me to the edge. A Budget is already approved to make a purchase of the product, if it solves our problems. I understand the fact that I need to deploy a client, but I'm not concerned with that anymore. I'm just concerned with the product working as advertised and getting rid of printing headaches. For those that have used v4, have you found this to be the case and the investment worthwhile?
