Its just a copy of explorer.exe renamed as ctx_explorer.exe. If you publish
explorer.exe it launches a full desktop. Might be something in my policy
that hides the add printer.

Hi again thanks for the answer.
I tried what You suggested but no luck yet, might just be me
missunderstanding though.
This ctx_explorer.exe does not seem to be a standard application, I cant
find it on my citrix servers at least. Tried searching for it on google also
but no hits.
I also opened the folder that I created locally on the server and it showed
me all the printers I had to select from but I could still see the add
printer wizard, is this how it will look even when published correctly?

Say D:\Printers.{2227A280-3AEA-1069-A2DE-08002B30309D}
Publish this folder with CMC using CTX_Explorer.exe /n,
/root,D:\Printers.{2227A280-3AEA-1069-A2DE-08002B30309D}

I have made a startmenu three wich links to each printer. each link is in
fact a link to con2prt.exe with the right parameters to connect a printer as
the default.
Eksample: \\server\share\CON2PRT.EXE <file:///\\server\share\CON2PRT.EXE>
/cd \\printserver\printer <file:///\\printserver\printer>
This has redused our supportcalls regarding printer connecton by 99%.

Hi,
I know that this question has been up before but so far I haven't found a
sufficient answer when searching through various forums and the thinlist
archive.
We are using MetaFrame XPe FR2 (SP3) on top of Windows 2000 with SP2 and
appropriate hotfixes.
We have users that need to be able to set their default printer in the
Terminal services environment. The most preferable solution for us would be
to publish the printers folder and we have also tried that with good results
however we don't want them to be able to see the add printer wizard or at
least not be allowed to run the add printer wizard.
Is there a way to remove/hide the add wizard via GPO or similar?
Or is there even a separate application, a modified verison of the printers
folder that we can publish that will accomplish the same thing, which is
letting them chose which printer they want as their default and nothing
else?
This is starting to be a real problem for us since we have a few
applications that wont let You chose which printer You want to print from
but rather assumes You want printouts on Your default printer.
