Hi Malcolm,

More info required.

NT 4.0 TSE is very sensitive to dodgy printer drivers which can cause a stop
0x1e or 0x50. However the fact that the BSOD only happens once a day doesn't
really seem to implicate a printer driver and there are other reasons for a
stop 0x1e.

The rest of the info on the BSOD screen might be useful, disable automatic
reboot if necessary or if that's not possible, have a look at bluesave from
www.sysinternals.com. A full memory dump would be your next stop in finding
out what's broken.

Mark Russinovich has a very good whitepaper on crash dump analysis
(www.sysinternals.com) and getting basic useful information out a crash dump
with windebug really isn't all that hard.

regards,

Rick

Subject: [THIN] STOP ERROR

Hello,
We have just taken over a client that is having a bit of trouble with a =
Citrix Server. Almost every afternoon they get a BSOD and rebooting it =
gets it working for another 24hrs. As you can imagine this is becoming =
a bit of a bother for them and us. I have searched MS/Citrix and Google =
but nothing seems to be it. Any ideas would be great.

Details:
IBM 5500 server with 2 x 550Xeon and 2GB RAM
NT4TSE SP6 MF 1.8 FR2
40 users with full desktops running Office97 SR2 and a VB application =
connected to a MSSQL server.

The BSOD is always the same.

Help

Thanks
Malcolm
