Asking as a non SQL person, wouldn't it just be far easier to just have a backup of the DS database and just attach or restore it to the 2nd SQL server? If I have a SQL server at a DR site, could I just allow the customer's standard replication software to replicate over the databases on the "master" SQL server to the DR site. And then at the DR site just restore/attach the replicated DS database when the switch to the DR takes place? I can be without the DS for a few hours while the restore/attaching takes place. Just a thought. The document to setup replication using SQL 2005 SP2 looks daunting (CTX118229). Is there an easier way to setup DS replication using SQL 2005 for a non SQL person? Webster
