It's a bit limited, but I bet you can do what you need with OSQL. It comes with MSDE, so you already have it. A search on google will give you a lot of things to look at including these: http://www.polyduck.co.uk/DNNStuff/MSDEWorkingwithosql/tabid/207/Default .aspx http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q325003 Good luck -David ________________________________ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Hamilton, Ronnie Sent: Wednesday, March 01, 2006 3:27 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [SPAM] - [THIN] OT- MSDE backup - Bayesian Filter detected spam Hi list, Slightly off topic, what utilities if any are anyone using for backing up MSDE databases, I need some thing that will do transactional backups and the capability to Restore and roll trransactional logs back to restore the database. I have done this using the Microsoft SQL manager in the past but we do not have a copy and are not likely to as costs are too high.
