I sat their hitting F5 to refresh the view on that application.  After I
hit reset, I immediately see it go down, I hit refresh a few times and
within 5 seconds it goes from down to active. I waited another minute
and it still stayed active.  I reset it again, and immediately it was
gone.

Evan,

Did you get a cup of coffee in the mean while? Sometimes there seems to
be some significant "lag" in the CMC displaying the status of a session.
Try waiting 5 minutes or so.....
