How are the registry settings getting there initially? Are they in the Default User Profile, in the Shadow Key, or is there a script running modprof? A normal new user would not have anything under the Profiles key. I found the windows messaging subsystem under HK_user. Within that it has the MS Exchange Settings with profiles. Could that be it? If I delete those, what does it do to the local profile on the server? _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx on behalf of Carl Stalhood Sent: Tue 4/17/2007 9:16 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Publishing Outlook Did you look in the shadow key? Look under HKLM\software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Terminal Server\Install\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Susbystem\Profiles. If there is an Outlook profile there it is possible that it is being propagated to all new users. Consider searching google for modprof to automate the Outlook config for your users. When ever I Launch outlook to try and configure a user, it does not launch the wizard, but starts with "unable to open your default email folders. You do not have permission". Looks like someone must have configured outlook, then copied those setting to the default users profile. I've looked every where, but cannot find where this setting is so I can move it. Any ideas? This is driving me NUTS!
