Good news! (for once) This is by design.

You can give your users the option of printing via the UPD4 driver or via
the traditional driver. You can disable one and/or the other via the CMC.

Subject: [THIN] Printing wierdness

I am working out multiple issues with printing on one of our networks. When
trying to manually add a printer connected to a local printer i see some
strange things. They have 3 printers on there local xp machine but in
citrix it shows that they have 6 printers. each printer is duplicated with
a (UPD:4) attached to the end. ANyone know why this is doing this? Thanks
