Could it be a policy creating them? Can you delete them manually? If you
can't delete them sometimes stopping and starting the spooler service
does the trick.

Now a new issue...I keep getting the auto"restored" printers, and can't
get rid of them.

It sounds like it is autocreating the printer again because it doesn't
know the short name is the same printer. Once you have the printer
created can you turn off the autocreate printer and does the short
printer name remain? I think the short printer name is staying the
user's profile...

That appears to work, I was able to change my printer name, shorten it,
but when I connect to the server again, it creates the short name, and
also auto-creates the long name original again. I do no want 2 of each
printer to show up.

Appears the issue with Powerbuilder, and it's ability to choose
different printers, printer setup, and why it was not working, revolves
around the printer name length, imagine that.

Printer is currently, 010-IT02 on nt01003 (from 010-skoodayil) in
session 1 on Ne06:, I need to look to shorten that, trouble is, they
need the reference to the client name, as that is how their sql tables
tells certain items to print to certain printers to certain trays.
