ok i ran filemon while doing this but I am not sure what I am looking for.
I've never used this before. I see some failures and access denieds but not
a lot. So I am not sure what it is doing.

Michael,

If an admin account can do this then it could be a permissions issue. Use
regmon and filemon on the server while trying this as the user that is
having a problem to see if you are getting an access denied.
