Happened to see this when looking at the fixes with W2k3SP1.

An unattended installation of Windows Server 2003 cannot continue and you
receive a message with error code 18. It sounds like this fix was included
in 2003 SP1 but I would check it out.

I checked my CD and it's there. I have copied the current drivers all over
the place. Something is definitely amiss. Do you have any idea what error
code 18 means?
Thanks for the file..i checked and its the same one I've been using.

We've found that it is still required, and place it in the $OEM$\$$\OEMDir
folder. I'll zip it up and send it to you off the list.

Cheers.

All,

I am trying to create an unattended install for a DL380G4 using W2K3 w/SP1.
I'm using official MS media that already has SP1 embedded..one of the
benefits of our EA...anyway, I am following the method I have been using
for a few years now (Smartstart scripting toolkit).. After the Windows
setup program (text mode) has done its numerous file copies and then
actually starts the install, I get an error msg stating "Unable to load
\$oem$\cpqcissm.dll Error code 18". I checked my unattended.txt and
txtsetup.oem files to make sure that it was or was not listed. Both ways
still fail. If you download the latest version of the SmartArray6i driver,
this dll file is no longer provided. HP says that the latest version does
not use it.

So...how do I get windows to stop trying to load it? Better yet, what is
error code 18?

adam
