ok, I'm getting a little paranoid now! I was born in N.Ireland and was in Belfast during the horrendous troubles in 72 and evacutated during several IRA bomb attackes, one in which the shop we were evacutated from blew up moments later. Was there during Bloody Sunday! Later in life I was contracting for a business in Warrington (north of England), which was bombed by the IRA.. I had literally just left the shopping precinct. I was in Manchester the day Arndale Centre was blown up (ok, I was nowhere near the shopping centre..but still a coincidence?!?) I was in Canary Wharf when the IRA attacked South Quauy in 1989ish. had my eas wrecked I was in Bristol when a number of bomb scares went of in the early nineties. And now I'm in the middle of London being blown up by lord knows who. I was also under the water in the East Maldives when the Tsunami hit, whilst decompressing from a deep dive, so quite lucky there. all in all, I've gotten away with it so far! ok, I can't think of any other major incidents I narrowly missed gawd bless luck, I'm off to the pub for an emergency pint -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of DOUG.WOOTEN@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: 07 July 2005 13:31 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: DHCP Question I am an aussie over here, want my sleepy Brisbane right now. IIRC it was related to using a windows2000 machine with a lower service pack than the machine that hosts DHCP (an mmc problem as mentioned before). Check it locally if you can or upgrade sp to same as the server. Maybe? -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Mark CALLEJA Sent: 07 July 2005 02:45 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: DHCP Question David A little left field but do you have that server as the "authorised" server in AD? I'd guess it's an MMC thing, not a problem with your scopes. Sent: Wednesday, July 06, 2005 3:15 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] DHCP Question We have a DHCP server with about 200 scopes on it. When I go to a particular scope and click either on the Address Leases or Reservations entry I get "Snap-In failed to initialize". There is also a big red X on each of these folders I can go to Address Pool or Scope Options just fine. Also, the Address Lease and Reservations on any other scope. Is this scope corrupt? By the way, 2003 Standard. ******************************************************** This Weeks Sponsor: Lakeside Software SysTrack is the easiest to use, most complete way to monitor system and application performance.
