I found that with scripting NT Backup you could produce reasonably detailed logs that made it easy to see if the backup was successful or not. These logs could be automatically printed of e-mailed to whoever .... -Ec -----Original Message----- From: Ron Oglesby [mailto:roglesby@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Saturday, 28 May 2005 9:48 a.m. To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: OT: Small shop backup software I was thinking about that one too, although even though you may have a small shop. And NT backup could work (like for exchange backup the datastores locally, copy them off etc for a central Tape to job). Not as intuitive with error checking and a simple interface that shows if all of the job was successful or not. Small clients want to see that "Yeah it worked" or Nope, its screwed again, call the tech" Type of interface. You just have to go through some work to script it . Nothing you can't handle Ron. I have a couple lying around I can send you if you want to take a look.
