Well, by many people's definition I suppose I am, but by others I'm sure I
wouldn't qualify. <shrug> I think more than anything else I like quality
equipment. When I get into something, I buy the gear. Skiing, Shooting pool,
bowling, tennis, computer gaming, whatever. I like having my own stuff to get
used to, and I like that stuff to be nice. Not top-of-the-line crazy nice, but
nice.. know what I mean?

In this particular issue, I'm leaning toward audiophile level stuff because a
good headset can last a long time, and provide alot of enjoyment reguardless of
what other stuff I end up getting down the road (whether PC or Audio gear).

Any input welcome.

You must be a serious gamer, to me anything more than 20 for a set of Gaming
headphones would be too much. :)

All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you

I was wondering if any of you have a reccomendation for a set of headphones
for a home gaming environment. I've done some searching on the net and am
leaning toward a set of Grado SR60's or SR80's for their quality/value (I'm
not afraid to be cheap :P). However I've heard they don't win any awards for
comfort, and this concerns because on weekends and days off I can put some
serious time into my gaming.

I think the Holy Grail is likely to be the Sennheiser HD580, but I don't
know if its worth the dent in the wallet. Top end of the budget is prolly
$200, but I'd prefer to stay way under that. Any of you guys have
suggestions?
