I only questioned it because I know product vendors tend to sponsor the list
(ie make contributions to Jim's costs on providing the resource) from
time-to-time, in order to offset "product placement" here - but I saw no
such reference on thethin.net to imply that - I was merely curious.

Otherwise, I do think it's a bit cheeky to merely suggest own products as
list contributions, but claim there's no intent to merely induce sales,
especially if you are no more upfront about the connection than the implicit
link from your sig - but hey - it's not my list, I merely asked the
question. You do as you will / as the moderator will allow / appeases your
conscience ;-)
