I'm not so sure (this is from memory from the research I did 2 years ago)=
that you can't back up the licensing folder (c:\windows\licensing?) and =
restore it to another server.

However it might be easier and quicker to install licensing on a new serv=
er (or rather an existing domain controller) and call the MS clearing hou=
se to get your licenses reactivated.

Subject: [THIN] Move Terminal Services Licensing to different server

I'm in the process of setting up some new Windows 2000 servers on my doma=
in.
I'm going to be replacing my current Terminal Services Licensing server.

How do I "move" the licenses from my old server to my new one? What abou=
t
activation? Any help would be appreciated!

When it come to MS TS Licensing, the more I read about it, the more and m=
ore
circles I am lead in.
