I had a customer install it on their old XA6 farm and also on their 6.5 farm
when they migrated. They also needed it to watch training videos. They only
issue they had was they only had a T1 for each remote location. 40 to 70 users
trying to use a pig of an app plus printing plus Silverlight videos plus Flash
videos didn't do much for productivity! They would not consider increasing the
bandwidth or putting in any vendor's WAN acceleration/caching device.

We had no issues with installing, at that time, the latest version of
Silverlight and having the users watch the videos. With one user it was fine!
:)

Thanks

Subject: [THIN] Merry Xmas

Hi All,

Have a quick question on Silverlight, I have been asked to look at installing
on our XenApp6 Win2008R2 server farm due to business needs to watch some video
files.

However I ran on a test server and video renders really choppy and CPU and
memory gets hit. I have also read that Silverlight is being discontinued in the
near future on top of this im concerned that with no re-direction network
traffic will shoot up when videos are being used.

Has anyone dealt with a similar issue or got Silverlight running nicely in
their environment?
