Melvin, Have a look at Project Compatibility from http://www.dabcc.com/pc/ it solved our outstanding Auto Create issues in a about ten minutes. You need to install it to a MetaFrame server, I used our development box as I did not want to touch the production farm. Hope this helps. John John Blackman Network Administrator IT Incorporated ltd. Find the printer that autocreated and now just hunt and peck at different printer drivers. Pick a driver, print a test page. Repeat. Have someone at the location watch the printer because sometimes it will queue a job and then disappear out of the queue but nothing actually prints. =20 _____ =20 =20 Brian Claus, A+, Network+, MCP Network Administrator WESCO Distribution, Inc. 225 West Station Square Drive, Suite 700 Pittsburgh, PA 15219-1122 Phone: 412-454-2412 Fax: 412-454-2540 bclaus@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:bclaus@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>=20 _____ =20 -----Original Message----- From: Magnus [mailto:magnus@xxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, January 10, 2003 1:57 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Mapped Printer Doesn't Print It is most likely due to a incorrected mapped driver. On several occasions, we've mapped the printer to a generic driver (like HP LaserJet) and it shows up on the user's list of available printers. We've tried it as well and do see the printer available. But--- when we try to print to that printer, we do not see any jobs in the printer's queue--and nothing comes out of the printer... even after several attempts. Any ideas? Setup: - Six farmed DUAL-CPU, 4 GB RAM, MetaFrame 1.8 for Windows 2000 w/ SP3 servers (Windows 2000 SP2 installed) - Clients have ICA Client 6.30.1050 or 6.30.1051 - The printer in question here is a networked Canon ColorPass 1000 but I've seen it happen with a local HP DeskJet 850c - The clients are in remote offices and have a shared 128KB line. Some are at home on DSL/Cable (using VPN tunneling) Thanks for any insights as to what may be happening... ..=20 .. ..=20 --------------------------------------------------=20 - Melvin Columna=20 - Kraft Trade Systems / BSC Systems=20 - eMail: Melvin.Columna @ Kraft.Com=20 --------------------------------------------------=20 ***********************************************=20 This Weeks Sponsor: WM Software WMS Messenger for TSE Affordable Instant Messaging for Terminal Servers http://www.wmsoftware.com/wmsm/ ************************************************ For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or=20 set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link. http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm ***********************************************=20 This Weeks Sponsor: WM Software WMS Messenger for TSE Affordable Instant Messaging for Terminal Servers http://www.wmsoftware.com/wmsm/ ************************************************ For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or=20 set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link. http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm The information contained in and transferred with this electronic message is intended only for the recipient(s) designated above, it is protected by law and it may contain information which is privileged and confidential.
