I've been very disappointed with Citrix' online training. If it's free and
not required for certification then Citix can do whatever they want. But
for the most part, this is not real training it's an exercise in marketing.

Greetings,

For anyone considering giving it a go, be warned that it is approximately 6
hours long and audio-less, meaning you have one hell of a lot of reading to
do if you try and complete it in a day. I booked last Friday working from
home in order to undertake it and actually fell asleep for 15 mins during
the latter stages! :-)

As to its structure, I would class it as average. It's delivery is very much
in a PowerPoint presentation style, though there's access to a table of
contents which allows you to move around the various sections at will. The
imitation hands-on sections are pretty noddy and the majority of the
information that it imparts can most certainly be found in the manuals.
Also, a large percentage of the course is based around the purchasable
"extras", so anyone looking to use it as a good introduction to the
XenServer hypervisor will undoubtedly be disappointed. If it's information
on the extras that you're after though, it does a fine job of covering them
in detail.

Just my 2p worth.

Thanks to John for posting the original link to this course.

Regards,

Paul

Or a decent guide for newbies for XenServer? No the admin guide is not the
answer I'm looking for :)
