Have him go to IE options and advanced tab and uncheck the box that says do
not save encrypted pages to disk and see if this helps.

I've got a remote user running IE 5.0, and IE tries to download the .ica
file instead of launching a citrix connection like it's supposed to.  I've
already had him uninstall and reinstall the client a couple of times.  I
think I remember this problem being pretty common, but heck if I can
remember the fix.
