In order versions of the ICA client I have seen an Active X object
registered where that references Wfica.ocx. Most mof the new clients don't
have it there. I know 6.X for sure doesnt.

Have you tried running the following:
"C:\Program Files\Citrix\Ica Client\Wfica32 /setup" And ensure that the
Active X object is in the following directory ( C:\winnt\downloaded program
files)

Have him go to IE options and advanced tab and uncheck the box that says do
not save encrypted pages to disk and see if this helps.

I've got a remote user running IE 5.0, and IE tries to download the .ica
file instead of launching a citrix connection like it's supposed to. I've
already had him uninstall and reinstall the client a couple of times. I
think I remember this problem being pretty common, but heck if I can
remember the fix.
