Nice one. Found a key called WallpaperStyle = 2. Removed the key and everything went back to normal. Thanks a bunch. The registry keys in here define the appearance of the desktop before the authentication process is complete. Try copying these registry values from a working server. _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Walter, Chris Sent: Friday, September 09, 2005 10:19 AM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Huge splash screen I have an annoying problem that is getting more common. I have Win2k3 MPS 3.0. If I reboot a server and then try and connect to the server too soon it will give me an error message about not being able load the mandatory profile. The next time I log on I get a huge splash screen (The one that reads Metaframe XP Presentaiton Server for Windows), this is normally a small splash that appears when you log on to a published desktop. Does anybody know how to prevent or even better yet how to fix it? Thanks, Chris Walter Project Delivery Specialist Technology Infrastructure Evolution (TIE) CGI / Bell Mobility (905) 282-4525
