Just use the protocol.ini on your boot disk, in the [driver] section
(usually [q57] to set 

LinkSpeed=100 
Duplex=full

It should have an example protocol.ini that you can use.

This could be caused by a duplex mismatch between the switch and the
NIC. Make sure your switch is set to 100/Half (since it seems that will
be easier to go that setting your server NIC to 100/Full) and see what
happens.

And, again, why aren't you using the gigabit card? Do you not have a
gigabit switch?
