Hi All

Wondering if anyone has noticed that FR3/SP3 is generally a bit more
sluggish at displaying certain things when using seamless windows.

We have an issue which we can reproduce with notepad when we publish apps
via seamless windows. This issue does not appear when using FR2/SP2.

Basically if you publish notepad seamlessly and then click the open file
button. Move the open file dialog box so it is not displaying over the top
of notepad. Then click on the drop down arrow on the filename drop down
box. If you click numerous times you will see the drop down box displays
quick to the bottom of the open window but when it goes past the edge of the
open dialogue window it is noticeably slower. Sometimes you will see a blue
screen (windows background under desktop wallpaper?) when the drop down pops
back up. If you leave the open file dialogue over the top of notepad and
the drop down box does not extend past the edge of the notepad window it
does not exhibit this behaviour.

We have an in house app which is basically a large toolbar with drop down
menus etc which when displaying items past the edge of the window becomes
sluggish just like notepad.

Any suggestions?

We have tried the latest hotfixes 056 which includes several seamless
windows fixes. We have looked at tweaking thinwire and speedscreen etc but
any ideas appreciated.

Using FR2 is not really an option.

Thanks

Malcolm
