When a server is built it modifies the default user profile so it is always consistent across all servers. We just nuke a few files from it and modify a few registry keys etc. Nice and simple and always consistent across all servers. Malcolm _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Stratton, Doug MSER:EX Sent: 06 April 2005 23:03 To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Default user Profile replication How are all you replicating your default user profile. We have a tonne of servers and want to automate it. Our concerns are NTFS rights and registry rights. There is a hidden default user profile folder (w2k3). We can just copy it over top of it but we are wondering if that will mess up the rights? Can do an import from in properties of the computer (manage users profiles) because if we copy the new on into the documents and setting directory it does not show up. Any suggestions welcome.
