can you add users manually by name?

could the account that you are logged into the CMC with not have domain
rights?

Folks
When I try to add Metaframe Administrators in CMC getting error "
couldn't enumerate domain". I am having MF-FR3 with SP4 and 3 hot
fixes (Rollup, 010 and 012)
Anybody please help why this error coming.
But I have no errors while adding users to published application.
