Hi Jim

Thanks for the reply - you were the only one.. The addresses are in the
same range/subnet. I checked in the citrix doco, couldn' find anything on
the topic.. I just wasn't sure if Citrix used the IP addresses internally
some how so wasn't sure if I needed to make other changes on top of changing
the OS IP address/DNS

Thanks
Rose

---------------------------------------------------

Are the addresses in the same range/subnet? If not it isn't that simple.
You'll have to create a new scope with the address range in the citrix
console and most likely take each server off and back on the farm using the
chfarm command. At least that is what we ran into when we switched from
public IP's to private ones.
I wish there was a document someplace on this but I do not know of one.
Possibly in the advanced concepts guide though. (look in
http://thethin.net/citrixse XP docs)

Subject: [THIN] Changing all IP address's in MF farm

Hi

I will be changing all our server IP addresses and was wondering if there is
anything special that needs to be done apart from updating the DNS entries
(and obviously changing the server IP address).. We run WTS/Metaframe XPe
using an Access datastore. Is there an order that I should be doing this
in?? ie datastore first, reboot then do other servers or can i do them all
in one hit and reboot them all at the same time?

Thanks
Rose
