The primary use for PXES to be used in a PXE environment where you will
remote boot your PCs (that can be completely diskless) from a PXE
server, over your PXE compatible NIC. That is the reason behind the PXES
name. In this mode it works fine.
I have never tried it as an image to boot a machine using a CD though
and do not even know if it works that way.

Anyone else used this (PXES Linux Thin Client) and know how to configure
=3D
it?
I've downloaded one of the ISO images and configured VMWare Workstation
=3D
on
my laptop to boot it. I get a boot: prompt and about 9 options. I've =3D
tried a
few of them. Linux starts to boot and then eventually just gives me a =
=3D
black
screen. Isn't the idea of this that I can install it to a local hard =3D
disk
and turn the machine into a Linux-based thin-client device? I've looked
=3D
at
the documentation on the web site, but it starts with a screen cap of a
configuration screen that I never see.

Thanks,

JD
