Yes, all users are experiencing the same problems. Different model PC's, some are clones, some compaqs so they are completely video chipsets. The servers are not loaded at all, CPU doesn't go over 30%, plenty of memory free etc - no bottlenecks can be seen. The users run multiple screens, if they minimise 1 screen, the 2nd screen is then fine - no flicker. It only starts to flicker if 2 screens are open. Searched the list, tried: - changing the published app to 16 colors - Tried using SkipRedrawPerPaletteChange=on in module.ini - Tried changing local machines video resolution - Tried the latest ICA client No luck with anything. I could tell our users to minimise 1 screen but it seems silly + some users need to see both at once - would much prefer to fix it. Can anyone recommend any other things I could try Thanks Rose Subject: [THIN] Re: Application constantly flickers From: "Jim Strowe" Reply To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Mon, 26 Aug 2002 20:46:40 -0400 A few basics, does this recur on more than one workstation. (graphic card issue?) Have you tried monitoring performance while the app is running to see what it is consuming? How about a different font? I assume you have a reason to run more than one instance in one session? (I.E. doctor it hurts when I do this/don't do that?) Does it flicker from two sessions in two different workstations. (i.e. one per user at 2 terminals) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rosemary Sarkis" To: Sent: Monday, August 26, 2002 6:12 PM Subject: [THIN] Application constantly flickers Another issue I was hoping you could help me with. The same published application (dodgy DOS type app), has an issue with screen refresh. You can open multiple windows in this app, if 1 is open, all is OK. If I open 2 and have one behind the other, both flicker to the point where it is extremely annoying. Im typing in one but both seem to refresh which causes flickering. I tried the app in a window and as a published app - no difference. We run WTS/Metaframe 1.8 with the latest ICA client. Has anyone had similar issues with other apps??
